GeoJSON is a geospatial data interchange format based on JSON. It can represent Point, LineString, Polygon, MultiPoint, MultiLineString, MultiPolygon, and GeometryCollection geometries. Defined by RFC 7946, GeoJSON has become one of the most popular data exchange formats in web GIS. GeoJSON files use WGS84 coordinates and support Feature objects with associated properties and FeatureCollections for organizing multiple features.
DXF (Drawing Exchange Format) is a CAD data exchange format developed by Autodesk, the native interchange format for AutoCAD. DXF stores vector graphic data in text format, including points, lines, polygons, text annotations, and layer information. In GIS, DXF is commonly used for data exchange with CAD systems, and many survey and engineering data are provided in DXF format.
Designers and engineers work in CAD, and CAD exchanges through DXF. When GIS data — parcels, road centerlines, building footprints — needs to become part of a design, converting GeoJSON to DXF brings it straight into AutoCAD, BricsCAD, or LibreCAD as polylines and points on named layers. It is the standard hand-off between the mapping world and the design world, done entirely in your browser.
You can map any property to DXF layer names, so features arrive in CAD already grouped the way you style them in GIS.
A widely compatible ASCII DXF flavor that opens in AutoCAD, BricsCAD, QGIS and LibreCAD.
GeoJSON has no true curves — everything is polylines. Circles generated from GeoJSON will be high-resolution polygon approximations.
Upload your GeoJSON file — drag and drop it onto the page, or browse from your device. You can add several files at once for batch conversion.
The conversion runs automatically in your browser. No upload, no server — your data stays on your device the entire time.
Download the DXF file. Each input produces its own output, ready to use in your GIS, web map, or archive.
